I had an exciting e-mail in my in-box this morning.

I’ve been intermittently taking part in the #64MillionArtists #JanuaryChallenge – you may have seen the odd tweet from me with a random picture!

Well, today the challenge is for us to “set someone else a challenge.” Just last evening I was taking part in a fantastic #NursingBloggers2020 #YearOfTheNurseAndMidwife tweetchat.  One of the ideas thrown out there was that It’s great to share our stories but is there more we can do to alert potential audiences to them who may otherwise miss them thinking maybe the popular media etc?

So, here’s our chance!  Let’s get our message out there.

The challenge I’m setting is simple:

Write a Haiku, explaining what nursing means to you, and post it on social media using the hashtags #YearOfTheNurseAndMidwife and #64MillionArtists

When you use the hashtags, please try and remember to put a capital at the start of each word as it means that anyone using audio assist will get the individual words read out.

A haiku is short and succinct.  It is based on the syllables of each line – 5 -7 -5 and is only 3 lines in total.

Be creative, don’t think too much about it and let’s get the message out there!
